It is difficult to expose
the life of a person on snapshot images and yet Brunella has done
it.
From
her First Holy Communion (Sept. 4, 1960) to her encounter with the
pope on occasion of the beatification of Padre Pio (May 2, 1999)
the outstanding points of the life and dynamic activity of the
lady are scanned by delicious photos on this book that is like a
family album to be kept jealously. Yet
this book is a valuable tool , not only for the colorful pictures
but also for the many written documents of the Blessed Padre Pio
quoted frequently. It is important to know that Mrs. Pavone is a
devout spiritual daughter of Padre Pio being an avid reader of his
wonderful letters ‘Epistolario’ .
It is also important to know that this publication, as the
subtitle says, is a phothograpic documentation photographic of the
Group of Prayer "Padre Pio" of the St. Rosary, funded by
Mrs Pavone to obtain from God many priest and religious vocations.
It is a particular aspect of the author that in her ardent love
for Jesus, she invites everybody to the prayer and
burns out of
desire to see the vineyard of the Lord rich of disciples: holy and
hard workers.
There are many other aspects that no should be omitted but
carefully underlined.
The author belongs to the Third Order of St Francis as Franciscan
Tertiary.
This explains her love for the sons of St Francis particularly the
capuchins among them she has found spiritual brothers, guides and
fathers. Brunella is happily married and mother of two splendid
children that she loves tenderly together with her incomparable
husband. She helps mothers with problems, prays and dedicates
herself to spouses who cannot have children, embraces tenderly
like her own the children of her friends. She seems to repeat the
words of Jesus: let the children come to me. The attraction of the
children towards Brunella reveals the candor of their innocence
and the purity that suffuses her soul.
Among the thoughts of Padre Pio that Brunella Pavone has cited in
this book there is one that seems to reflect adequately her life
and her activity: ‘The only thing that must occupy your soul :
love God and do good’.
Brunella has only one desire: to love God. Since she was stricken
from above, she has left everything (profession, success, worldly
life) and she doesn’t but for Jesus, all dedicated to the prayer
and Christian life. Brunella
exercises only one activity: to do and preach the good.
She displays this way of living with spiritual and material works,
with many pilgrimages that she organizes to Marian shrines and to
the tomb of Padre Pio, with activities that show her on first line
to fight for the good.
This and other, you can read among the lines and the many photos
of this nice book.
